Say Goodbye to the Air
Only one or two more days until
time stands at the station corner – still.
And waits to board that midnight train
leaving Georgia and traveling to North Carolina again.
Until that day, I will patiently sit
and wait for a phone call that I’ll never get –
the call where you bid farewell to me here,
but I know you won’t, so I’ll say goodbye to the air
and hope it finds you there.

Hello cdw. so good to know you thrrough your profiule on the blogger. I am also glad to stop by your blog "CreativiMe" and the post on it "Say good by to the Air...poem" As I read your profile I was more impressed by your vision which is international and your heart which is with multiculturalism and the souls of black folks. With this vision and heart I am tempted to invite you on a mission trip to Mumbai, India to work with us on a short / long term in the slums of Mumbai amongst poorest of poor to bring healing to the borken hearted. I am in the Pastoral ministry for last 34ys in this great city of Mumbai a city with great contrast where richest of rich and the poorest of poor live. We reach out to the poorest of poor with the love of Christ to bring healing to the broken hearted. We also encourage young people as well as adults from the West to come and work with us during their summer vacation. We would love to have you come with your friends to Mumbai to work with us by being hands and feet of Jesus.
